Lino block print on Somerset paper.
The maps layered on the images from Grey’s Anatomy cite the relationship of the landscape to the body as it investigates patterns, systems of external order, and identity embedded in the language of mapping. Obscurity distorts the meaning of the signs and symbols as the fissures and hemispheres of the body are read as ravines and the spine and teeth as creeks and waterways of the map. The signs conflate and take on new meaning.
